We are kicking this season off right with Mary's dear friend Robin Mallery who is here chat about our local farmer’s market, supporting our local food systems and much more! Robin brings so much knowledge and passion for food justice and access and we’re honored for her to take time out of her crazy schedule to talk with us. Robin is a retired Registered Nurse and long-time proponent of a Food as Medicine approach to vibrant health and well-being. After moving to Evansville in October 2013. She has been a force to be reckoned with here! She joined the Board of Urban Seeds, ultimately taking a leadership role as the Director. Robin is a dedicated advocate for Food Justice with an enthusiasm for community outreach and partnerships that diminish disparity in access to nourishing food while addressing systemic barriers. As a seasoned health educator, Robin now focuses on “meal planning, shopping, and cooking on a budget” classes via Nourish, Urban Seeds’ signature program, as well as educating community leaders and deciders about the imperative of supporting a robust local food economy.
